This beautiful, awesome puppy was left alone at the shelter for unknown reasons. When shelter personnel contacted us, we raced over (in our pajamas) to make sure he didn’t spend one more minute there.
Got puppy fever? Theodore is a wonderful puppy, friendly, affectionate, mischievous, curious, and silly. He is all that and more. If you look in the dictionary under sweetness, you'll see his picture. Theodore gets more beautiful by the minute, as his features are taking formation, and his richly colored coat is silky and glossy. You'll fall in love at first sight.
Did we mention Theodore’s enchanting personality? At the Neuter clinic, the staff was so charmed by him, that he was the featured as “Pet of the Day” on their Facebook page.
Theodore is a GOOD puppy, not a hooligan. He leaves everything alone except paper. He likes to shred it. His adopter will be supplied with a whisk broom and dust pan.
Theodore is in second grade potty training school. He passed first grade – “Liquids”, and is now studying “Solids”, and cramming for finals. He still needs someone to take him outside every few hours and stay out there with him to praise him for a good potty. Realistically, he may not truly “get it” until he is over a year old. Patience and consistency are the key to success.
Theodore is a play machine. He lives for wrestle mania and would love a willing partner. He readily joins the fun with the other young foster doxies when a game of chase or wrestle-mania breaks out. Theodore is happy having other dachshunds that will play with him.
Theodore can be timid with new people, but willing to make friends, and doesn't have an aggressive bone in his little body. His motto is "Make Love, Not War". He stops traffic when he's out and about. Everyone wants to meet him. He has happy kisses for all his fans.
Theodore is what we call a 'mostly' dachshund. He has a drop of another breed that we can't identify yet. Whatever it is only serves to make him more irresistible, and less likely to be prone to back injury as he gets older. Do you live in a two-story home? Stairs will not be an issue for Theodore.
As Theodore is very young, there is a very good chance he can be taught to live in harmony with cats. But he would like to have a young canine companion for playing and to mentor him.
We are looking for a home for Theodore that would have the following attributes:
Someone at home most of the day, stay-at-home moms/dads or folks who work from home.
Previous dachshund experience is a plus.
Another YOUNG dog for play and companionship, preferably female.
A very secure INDOOR place for Theodore to be when no one is at home.
Applicants must be between 25 and 65 years of age.
No infants or toddlers, please, but we will consider families with respectful children over 8 years old.
Theodore has received his all his vaccines, and is microchipped. If you are interested in Theodore, please contact Roberta at firstname.lastname@example.org. A home check and an adoption application are required.
The tax deductible donation for Theodore is $400.00

SAFE WITH CATS!
Dottie was living outside in all weather. A concerned neighbor convinced the owner to surrender her to a better life. Whoever adopts this precious, precocious girl will be the one with a better life!
Meet Dottie, the Piebald. She is personality plus! Dottie is a whirling-dervish comedy show. Can you stop laughing long enough to admire her beauty? When she runs out of steam, sit down for a delicious snuggle in your lap, and a cozy burrow in your bed. As she appears to be house trained, we have no problem sharing the big bed with her.
Despite her past, Dottie is lovely and affectionate to everyone she meets, just give her a few minutes to size you up. She is getting along well with the other dachshunds in her foster home. Due to her past, we will not place her in a home with young children. Teenagers are fine. (She was not exposed to young children.)
Dottie enjoys going for walks. She loves to “goforaride”. Amazingly enough, Dottie is good with cats! Dottie does seem to have some “separation anxiety”, but it has lessened with time, some confidence building from her foster mom, and patience.
Dottie would like a home with a dachshund-savvy family. She would also appreciate a canine companion who enjoys rough-housing, as Dottie is a “Tom Boy” and does play rough.
Only one thing is missing in Dottie’s life right now is YOU! Can you give Dottie the life she's dreaming of, and in turn, give yourself the gift of pure devotion and love from this beautiful piebald dachshund. She is beautiful, inside and out. Dottie is ready and waiting.
Dottie’s vaccines are up-to-date and she’s been microchipped. If you think Dottie can be a great new addition to your family, please contact Roberta at email@example.com. An adoption application and home check are required.
The tax-deductible donation for Dottie is $450.00
